GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SVAHA for Japan

I love Japan. I love to read translated Japanese literature, especially Haruki Murakami’s books. I think I watch at least as many Japanese movies as I do American ones, and I am so heartbroken for the Japanese people.

The Dalai Lama asked people to recite the Heart Sutra for victims and survivors of the earthquake and tsunami.

Jennifer Lauck and I are praying the Heart Sutra mantra, gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha for the people of Japan.

Wikipedia has this translation of the mantra: “Gone gone, gone beyond, gone altogether beyond, O what an awakening, all hail!”

Beautiful!

Please join us. Every mantra matters. Jennifer is keeping an ongoing count and we’re up to about 3000.
