Henry Huggins and Friends

Bridghid and I went to Grant Park this afternoon. It was my day off, and we decided to visit the Beverly Cleary fountain. I discovered her books as a fifth grader and loved the stories about the kids on Klickitat Street–Beezus, Ramona, and Henry. Bridghid horsed around with the statues for awhile before moving on to the playground equipment, and I snapped some pictures.  Brought back memories, it did. Now I live in the same part of Portland and the kids still play ball and ride their bikes around the neighborhood just as they did then.
